Heritage & placemaking

In a time of bottom-up, participation, diversity and socially sustainable qualities, researchers observe a growing role of new, more participatory and sustainable practices in dealing with heritage and public space.

The Street Values Research underlines how you can not see heritage as much as 'object or location to be retained', but above all as a social design assignment. It shows how the practice of heritage building in the environment is changing: heritage becomes more inclusive, is more closely connected with social aspects and reflects the values of local communities much better. This gives new impulses in the education field of heritage professionals.
